We came to Chouyou Nursery School, the last destination to visit in Kumamoto. I was very sorry to hear that those children experienced the earthquake. They performed a local festival dance, which gave us lots of energy.
When the ladies with beauty titles kindly gave them souvenirs brought from each of their native countries, they were so cute expressing their joy in raised voices and in high spirits.
Looking at their smiles, I realized I liked children very much.
We then moved to Miyazaki separately in groups to visit Takachiho Gorge where Gods descended, according to a mythology of Japan.
The god who was dispatched to Takachiho from the heaven is Ninigi no Mikoto, a grandson of Amaterasu Omikami (the sun goddess), whose mission was to govern the disordered human world from above the waterfalls in Takachiho Gorge.
I recognized that knowledge of mythology led us to the origin of Japanese history and to where our soul came from. It’s very important to visit such sacred place as a Japanese. I was honored to be there.
